Underground Electric Supply currently has an opening for a Sales Associate to join our team. This position will work with the customers and vendors for purchasing and selling high voltage parts and products, maintaining and stocking inventory, and shipping and receiving orders. We are looking for someone knowledgeable in parts sales and is good with pc software. Candidates with knowledge and experience in the electrical industry and high voltage electrical industry are preferred. This position will pay between $40,000 to $70,000 per year (hourly) depending on experience. Overtime is available. Plus Commission and Bonus.

Accounting Analyst

Seeking a full-time accounting analyst to work on a small team in our corporate office in Montclair, CA. Under direction, the analyst will perform a wide range of administrative and analytical tasks. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and prepared to apply spreadsheet, database, and analysis software skills to the business practices in place.

Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, Power Query, data transformation with formulas, and data organization/cleaning
  • Quickbase Builder Certifications
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles
  • Experience with storing/updating data in Microsoft Access and running queries
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques/practices preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices for several different contracts/customers, learning different requirements and standards.
  • Gather and prepare weekly payroll and expense reports for review by management.
  • Maintain and review project budgets to identify irregularities and recommend corrective action.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding and work with contract partners to resolve any issues.
  • Work across intra-organizational divisions to gather operations and project information to convert to data for analysis.
  • Assist with collecting data for profit/loss analysis, forecasting, and generating reports in support of management.
  • Work closely with project managers to coordinate changing project requirements, deadlines, scope of work, and billing requirements.

The Safety Professional will work for the Safety Director and another analyst organizing all data from the field, maintaining all the filing and reporting need of the Safety Department. Following are some of the abilities required:

         Preffered to have experience working in a safety department, with safety credentials.

         Must be extremely organized, manage multiple deadlines, keep acurate records and files.

         Maintain ISN, OSHA Logs, Safety reporting, trend analysis, performance gap.

         Ability to work with computers, MS Word, Excel, custom software, typing.

         Ability to handle new employee orientations, new hie and termination processes for Safety reasons.

         Ability to provide High Voltage Lineman out of the union hall, first day Power Point new employee Safety Presentations.

         Ability to work with drug testing company to schedule new hire drug testing requirements.

         Possibility to learn how to go into the field and review jobsite conditions.

         Education-4 year degree preferred.

         Experience-working in the electric utility industry is a plus.

Electrical Test Technician

 Join a rapidly expanding NETA testing agency with career growth opportunities! Our clients require hands-on experience in test start-up, repair, and retrofit of circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, motors, controls, electric power equipment, etc. Prefer NETA Level 3 Certification.

 

We are searching for an individual with a minimum of 5 years experience with a substantial part of that being in the electrical power distribution industry in servicing, maintaining, and testing electrical power distribution equipment. NETA III is preferable, NETA II would be considered, NETA IV is always welcome. In addition, this experience should specifically include the following areas: Medium Voltage (600V to 38kV), starting up drives, IR Thermography/Photography, protective relays, switchgear, relays, arc flash, and breaker testing. Ideally, this individual will have experience with NETA testing as well.

 

We are looking for all NETA field test technicians. You will be joining an already established NETA company (one of the founding companies) with many NETA IIIs and NETA IVs to work with / rely on, plus our NETA technicians that are specialists in their own areas of testing / maintenance. NETA III technicians can apply directly through Indeed, or our website. NETA IV technicians can do the same. NETA II technicians should apply through Indeed. Any Technician with Electrical NETA Maintenance experience can apply. NETA field service technicians local to California are perferred for our NETA electrical services and testing. Out of state NETA techs will be considered.

  Phoenix Arizona Administrative Assistant/Assistant to the VP /Analyst  

MUST be able to type 45+ WPM, have strong Microsoft Based Skills (Excel skills and be proficient with Microsoft, Power Point, Publisher, Access Etc.. All applicants will be tested on their level of Excel knowledge and typing speed; if their knowledge of Excel is basic or lower, and/or their typing speed is less than 45 WPM, they will be excused from the testing process and will not advance on to the interview.

Provide administrative support for Vice President, Operation Manager, Project Managers, and NETA Technicians.
Preparation and review of submittal packages (online and hard copy), closeout documents, invoicing, material requisitions, city requirements, certifications, written correspondence, assist with estimating/sales (bonus applied for the right candidate) and ensure timely responses to a variety of verbal and written inquiries.

Assist with the preparation of proposals, reports, memorandums, correspondence and various documents. Copy, collate, bind and staple reports and other duplicated material.

Schedule conference rooms and coordinate meetings, appointments, rental equipment and travel arrangements for AZ (on occasion CA, NV).

Prepare and submit work orders, weekly/monthly timesheets, safety Canvas reports, expense reports, requisitions, billing project reports, and process invoices. Establish, update and maintain files (electronic and hard copy), databases, contact information, records and other documents.

Prepare documents and packages to be emailed, faxed, mailed, coordinate delivery and pick up with messenger and/or services. Prepare and order lodging as required for technicians. Prepare, set up and monitor vehicle maintenance records for the staff. Prepare and monitor test equipment repairs as required.

Maintain records of professional licenses; coordinate renewals and related course logs. Collect and log drawings collected from customer and technicians. Communicate with project managers, engineers and test technicians in order to facilitate data collection for report completion. Collect and organize project specific work orders, proposals and test data sheets. Make sure digital copies of work orders, proposals and test data sheets are organized into correct folders on the server.

Refer to project work orders and proposals to ensure that all test data sheets are collected. Check data sheets for syntax errors and communicate with the test technician to correct discovered errors. Make sure that all project data is collected before informing the engineer that the project report is ready to be written.

Prepare and submit weekly safety audits based on canvas reporting data. Collect canvas reporting from private sector and substation construction division(s) and enter data into auditing spreadsheets daily/weekly.

Maintain weekly, monthly, and yearly totals for auditing purposes and present to management as needed.

Must be motivated and willing to work alone up to 90% of the time. Clean driving record to retrieve packages, drawings, specifications from customers. Entry level sales required (bonus applied for the right candidate)

         Excellent computer skills.

         Good electrical background with ability to read drawings/schematics.

         Position is approx. 70% office and 30% field with flexible hours, very little weekend work.

         Prefer 7 years field experience or 3 years’ experience with degree or military background.

         High level of interaction with engineers, customers and field test staff.

         Must have valid CA driver’s license, USA citizen, no felony’s in last 7 years.

         Most successful candidates would have switchgear, transformer and breaker knowledge.

         Assist with reviewing prints, plans, schematics, and other customer technical and commercial specifications to develop and prepare technical solution and cost estimates for our customers.

         Assist in RFQ responses with the preparation and delivery of proposals to customers within the defined lead times.

         Partner with others (Engineering, Project Management, Field Technicians, Vendors, and other Contractors) team to solve technical and commercial issues that arise during both the proposal stage and project execution.

         Conduct technical discussions with customers, management, and other contractors on projects to identify issues and offer creative solutions that exceed customer expectations.

         Must be able to determine conformance to applicable standards and codes.

         Analyze quality issues, evaluates processes and implements corrective action plans in coordination with management.

         Prepare submittal documentation necessary for bidding purposes and 

      project execution.

         Prepare electronic documentation such as job cost spreadsheets and 

      project schedules.

         Must be able to monitor quality performance on projects and advises Project Managers on quality compliance.

         Verify completion and quality of work by collecting, reviewing and interpreting field data and results.

         Maintain and produce accurate logs, files and other documentation.

         Recommend corrective and preventive action and produce test reports associated with work activities for customers.

         Tracks and communicates to customers, project managers, field technicians, other contractors, and vendors about all ongoing and future projects.

         Organize, Manage, and monitor relevant project files such as drawings, specifications, work orders, invoices, and various other documentation.

         Regularly conduct and evaluate quality testing methods, evaluate processes and implement corrective action plans in coordination with management to ensure contractual compliance.

         Position is Monday – Friday, Full Time, Full Benefits, Bonuses, Pay Increases with Successfully Estimated and Awarded Projects:  $35K-$45K/Year.
